A musical journey that includes R&B, Jazz, Blues, Gospel and Pop, Mr. Coleman has headlined in Las Vegas and around the globe for over three decades. He has performed with legendary performers like Barbra Streisand, Lou Rawls, organist Jimmy Smith, Blues legend BB King and many other top-flight jazz artists. Performances with great R&B artists include The Isely Brothers, The Temptations, The Drifters, Stephanie Mills, Ben E. King, Melba Moore, Martha Reeves & The Vandellas, Sha Na Na, The Marvelettes, and Little Anthony and the Imperials. His stellar jazz trio has performed with some of the greatest jazz artists of all time, including Al Jarreau, George Benson, Dianne Reeves, Gerald Albright, Della Reese, and many others.
Mr. Coleman was the lead vocalist with The Platters for over 20 years. He toured with LCB (with childhood friend Joe Blunt from The Drifters and Glenn Leonard from The Temptations) for ten years, performing at MetroStage in October 2018. For the past five years Joe has been touring with Voices of Classic Soul, which features former and current members of The Temptations, Platters, Four Tops and Drifters. He is also a songwriter, playwright, and author.
Joe with his band will be performing some of the best loved songs of our generation, including Only you, Smoke Gets Your Eyes, My Girl, Fly Me to the Moon, Stand by Me, and The Great Pretender.
